3. Setup Guide

3.1. Physical Placement

Choose a stable, flat surface for the projector. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight. For ceiling mounting, refer to the specific instructions provided with your mounting kit.

3.2. Connecting Power

1. Connect the supplied power cord to the projector's AC inlet.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
3. The power indicator light on the projector will illuminate, indicating standby mode.

3.3. Connecting Input Sources

The NP-MC423W supports various input sources. Use the appropriate cables for your devices.

• HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your computer, Blu-ray player, or other HDMI-enabled device to one of the projector's HDMI input ports. The projector features dual HDMI inputs for convenience.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

1. To Power On: Press the POWER button on the projector's control panel or the remote control. The power indicator will change from amber (standby) to green.
2. To Power Off: Press the POWER button twice. The first press will display a confirmation message; the second press will shut down the projector. The power indicator will return to amber.

4.2. Adjusting the Image

• Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the projector lens until the image is sharp.
• Zoom: Adjust the zoom ring on the projector lens to change the image size.
• Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, use the KEYSTONE buttons on the remote or control panel to correct it. The projector supports digital keystone and cornerstone correction.
• Input Source Selection: Press the INPUT button on the remote or control panel to cycle through available input sources (HDMI1, HDMI2, VGA, etc.).

4.3. ECO Mode™

To extend lamp life and reduce power consumption, activate ECO Mode™ through the projector's menu settings. This mode slightly reduces brightness but significantly increases lamp longevity.

4.4. MultiPresenter Functionality

The built-in MultiPresenter allows screen sharing from up to 16 devices simultaneously. For wireless connectivity, the optional NP05LM1 wireless adapter is required. MultiPresenter is compatible with Windows, MAC, Android, and iOS devices and does not require internet access or a WAN connection.

1. Ensure the projector is connected to the same network as the devices you wish to share from (wired or wireless).
2. Launch the MultiPresenter application on your device.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the projector and begin sharing your screen.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Lamp Replacement

The lamp in your NP-MC423W projector has a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours in ECO Mode™. When the lamp life is nearing its end, a warning message will appear on the screen, and the lamp indicator will illuminate. Caution: Allow the projector to cool down completely before attempting lamp replacement. Lamps operate at high temperatures.
