3. Setup and Operation
3.1 Installing Crimping Dies:
- Select the appropriate die size for your cable and terminal. Refer to the die size table in Section 2.4.
- Open the crimper head by rotating the "Work/Reset" knob to "Reset" and pulling the handles apart.
- Insert the selected die halves into the crimper head, ensuring they are properly seated.

3.2 Crimping Procedure:
- Prepare your cable by stripping the insulation to the appropriate length for your terminal.
- Insert the stripped cable into the terminal lug.
- Place the terminal lug with the cable into the selected crimping dies.
- Rotate the "Work/Reset" knob to "Work" to engage the hydraulic mechanism.
- Pump the handle repeatedly until the dies fully close and the crimp is complete. The tool will automatically release pressure when the crimp is finished.
- Rotate the "Work/Reset" knob to "Reset" to release the pressure and open the dies.
- Remove the crimped terminal.

- Apply a light coat of machine oil to moving parts and dies periodically to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Store the tool in its original case to protect it from environmental elements and physical damage.
- If the hydraulic system experiences issues, such as loss of pressure or incomplete crimps, consult the troubleshooting section or contact customer support.
6. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Incomplete Crimp:
- Ensure the correct die size is used for the cable and terminal.
- Verify the "Work/Reset" knob is fully set to "Work".
- Pump the handle until the dies fully close and the automatic pressure release activates.
- Dies Not Closing/Opening Properly:
- Check for any obstructions or debris in the die area.
- Ensure the dies are correctly installed and seated.
- Verify the "Work/Reset" knob is fully rotated to the desired position ("Work" or "Reset").
- Tool Leaking Oil:
- This may indicate a seal issue. Refer to the included seals for potential replacement or contact customer support.
- Cable Cutter Not Cutting Cleanly:
- Ensure the cable material is copper or aluminum and within the specified cutting range.
- Inspect the cutter blades for damage or dullness.
