4. Product Overview
The Yinker 8-Port KVM Switch features multiple ports for connecting computers and peripherals. Familiarize yourself with the layout:

Front Panel:
- USB 1, USB 2: USB 2.0 ports for connecting shared peripherals (e.g., printer, USB drive).

5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Yinker 8-Port VGA USB KVM Switch:
- Power Off All Devices: Before making any connections, ensure all computers, the monitor, and any peripherals are powered off.
- Connect Monitor: Connect your VGA monitor to the 'VGA OUT' port on the rear panel of the KVM switch.
- Connect Keyboard and Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and USB mouse to the dedicated USB ports on the rear panel of the KVM switch.
- Connect Computers: For each computer you wish to connect (up to 8):
- Connect one end of a KVM cable (VGA and USB combined) to the VGA output and a USB port on your computer.
- Connect the other end of the KVM cable to a corresponding 'PC' input port (e.g., PC1, PC2) on the rear panel of the KVM switch.
- Connect Shared Peripherals (Optional): Connect any additional USB peripherals (e.g., printer, USB flash drive) to the 'USB 1' or 'USB 2' ports on the front panel of the KVM switch.
- Connect Desktop Control (Optional): If desired, connect the desktop control unit to the 'Desktop Control Port' on the rear panel.
- Power On: Power on the KVM switch by turning on one of the connected computers. The KVM switch draws power from the USB connection. Then, power on the monitor and other connected computers.

6. Operating Instructions
The Yinker 8-Port KVM Switch offers multiple methods for switching between connected computers:
6.1. Front Panel Buttons
- Press the corresponding 'PC' button (PC1-PC8) on the front panel of the KVM switch to switch to the desired computer. The LED indicator for the selected port will illuminate.
6.2. Desktop Control Unit
- If connected, use the buttons on the external desktop control unit to switch between computers. Each button corresponds to a specific PC port.

6.3. Hotkey Switching (Keyboard)
Use keyboard hotkeys for quick switching:
- Switch to Next PC: Press Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, then 1 to 8 (for PC1 to PC8).
- Auto Scan Mode: Press Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, then S. The KVM switch will cycle through all connected computers. Press any key to exit auto scan.
- Disable Hotkeys: Press Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, then K.
- Enable Hotkeys: Press Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, then L.
Note: Ensure the keyboard is connected to the dedicated USB keyboard port on the KVM switch for hotkeys to function.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the KVM switch. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
