Setup Guide

1. Mounting the Antenna

The Air 360+ antenna is designed for easy roof mounting on your RV or trailer. It features a low-profile dome that requires no aiming or cranking. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before installation.

  • Position the antenna on a flat, clear section of your RV roof, ensuring it does not obstruct other roof-mounted equipment.
  • Secure the antenna base to the roof using appropriate fasteners (not included, refer to installation manual for specific screw types).
  • After securing, apply a generous bead of RV-compatible sealant (e.g., butyl tape or self-leveling sealant) around the entire perimeter of the antenna base to ensure a watertight seal.

2. Wiring Connections

The antenna's cables are routed through the roof and connect to your RV's internal systems.

  • Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to your RV's TV input.
  • If utilizing the optional Winegard Gateway router for WiFi, 4G LTE, and GPS, connect the corresponding cables from the antenna to the Gateway unit (sold separately).
  • Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

Operating Instructions

1. Receiving HDTV and FM Radio Signals

The Air 360+ is omnidirectional, meaning it receives signals from all directions without manual adjustment.

  1. Ensure your RV's antenna power booster (if applicable) is turned on.
  2. On your television, navigate to the 'Menu' or 'Settings' and select 'Channel Scan' or 'Auto Program'.
  3. Allow the TV to complete the scan. This process will detect and store available over-the-air (OTA) HDTV and FM radio channels.
  4. Periodically re-scan for channels, especially when moving to a new location, to ensure optimal reception.

2. Connecting to Winegard Gateway (Optional)

For internet connectivity, the Air 360+ integrates with the Winegard Gateway router (sold separately).

  • Refer to the Winegard Gateway router's user manual for specific setup and operation instructions.
  • Once connected, the Gateway will utilize the antenna's 4G LTE and WiFi capabilities to provide internet access within your RV.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Winegard Air 360+ antenna.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior dome with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Sealant Inspection: Annually inspect the sealant around the antenna base for any cracks, peeling, or signs of water intrusion. Reapply sealant as necessary to maintain a watertight seal.
  • Cable Connections: Occasionally check all cable connections for tightness and corrosion. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.
