Maintenance
- Cleaning the Stylus: Use a soft brush to gently clean the stylus from back to front. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers.
- Cleaning Records: Use a dedicated record cleaning brush or cloth to remove dust and debris from your vinyl records before and after each play.
- Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior of the record player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the tonearm is secured with its lock and the stylus is protected. Close the lid to prevent dust accumulation.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the record player and a working power outlet. Check if the Power/Volume knob is turned ON.
- No Sound: Verify the volume is turned up. If using external speakers, ensure they are properly connected and powered on. If using headphones, ensure they are fully plugged into the headphone jack.
- Skipping or Distorted Sound: Check if the record is clean and free of scratches. Ensure the stylus is clean and not damaged. Make sure the record player is on a stable, level surface to minimize vibrations.
- Turntable Not Spinning: Confirm the power is on and the speed selector is set. If the auto-stop switch is ON, some records may not trigger it correctly, try setting it to OFF.
