Setup

Your LEOTEC radio offers flexible power options for your convenience.

1. AC Power Supply

For indoor use, connect the provided 120V AC power cable to the AC input jack located on the back of the radio. Plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. The radio will operate directly from AC power.

2. Battery Power

For portable use, the radio can be powered by two (2) D size batteries (not included). To install batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two D size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Turning On/Off and Volume Control

Rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise to turn the radio on and increase the volume. Rotate it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn the radio off.

2. Selecting AM/FM Band

Use the AM/FM switch located on the side of the radio to select your desired frequency band. The radio supports FM 87.5-108MHz and AM 520-1710KHz.

3. Tuning to a Station

Rotate the large TUNING knob to scan through available radio stations. The clear dial display will help you pinpoint your desired frequency.

4. Antenna Adjustment for Reception

For optimal FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For AM reception, the radio has a built-in antenna, but you may need to rotate the radio for the best signal.

5. Using the Earphone Jack

For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm earphones into the earphone jack located on the side of the radio. The external speaker will automatically mute when earphones are connected.
