Setup

  1. Placement: Position the amplifier on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  2. Power Connection: Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the OFF position. Connect the supplied power cable to the amplifier's AC inlet and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Instrument Connection: Connect your guitar or other instrument to the amplifier's INPUT jack using a high-quality instrument cable.
  4. Footswitch Connection: Connect the 2-button footswitch to the FOOTSWITCH jack on the amplifier's rear panel. This footswitch allows for remote channel switching and effects loop activation.
  5. Initial Power On: Before turning on, ensure all volume controls are set to their minimum position. Flip the POWER switch to ON, then wait a few moments before flipping the STANDBY switch to ON. This allows the tubes to warm up properly.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the amplifier's exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Tube Care: This amplifier uses vacuum tubes which have a finite lifespan. If you notice a decrease in performance, unusual noise, or loss of volume, the tubes may need replacement. Consult a qualified technician for tube replacement. Always allow tubes to cool down before moving the amplifier.
  • Storage: Store the amplifier in a dry, temperature-controlled environment. If transporting, use appropriate protective covers or cases.
