2. Product Overview
The KCO Lighting Sputnik Chandelier (Model L1098-9) is a modern 9-light semi-flush mount ceiling fixture with a sand nickel finish. Its contemporary design features multiple bulbs staggered through metal brackets, creating a unique and atmospheric lighting solution for various rooms.

3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present and undamaged before beginning installation. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist
- Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker.
- Gather necessary tools (screwdriver, wire strippers, ladder, safety glasses).
- Confirm ceiling type is suitable for semi-flush mount installation.
4.2 Assembly Steps
- Attach Extension Rods: Select the desired length of extension rods (7.9" or 11.8") and securely attach them to the chandelier body and canopy plate. The fixture comes with three rods (7.9"+11.8"+11.8") allowing for adjustable hanging height.
- Mounting Bracket Installation: Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws.
- Wiring: Connect the chandelier's wires to the household electrical wires according to standard electrical codes (typically black to black, white to white, ground to ground). Use wire nuts to secure connections.
- Canopy Installation: Carefully push the canopy up to the ceiling, ensuring all wires are tucked inside the junction box. Secure the canopy to the mounting bracket.
- Bulb Installation: Screw E26 base bulbs (not included) into each of the 9 sockets.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Once installed, restore power at the circuit breaker. The chandelier can be operated using a standard wall switch.
5.2 Dimmable Functionality
The Sputnik Chandelier itself is not dimmable. However, it can be fully dimmable when used with dimmable E26 bulbs and a compatible dimmable wall switch (bulbs and switch are not included).

6. Care and Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they may damage the finish.
6.2 Bulb Replacement
Always turn off power before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching. Use E26 base bulbs, ensuring the wattage does not exceed the fixture's maximum rating.
7. Troubleshooting
If your chandelier is not functioning correctly, please refer to the following common issues:
- Light does not turn on: Check the circuit breaker to ensure power is on. Verify all wire connections are secure. Ensure bulbs are correctly installed and not burnt out.
- Flickering lights: Ensure bulbs are fully screwed in. If using dimmable bulbs, confirm compatibility with your dimmer switch.
- Loose arms: If any arms feel loose, gently tighten the connections at the central hub.
