2. Important Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electric shock, or injury when using your ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch the evaporator or ice cubes when the unit is operating.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Ensure the ice maker is properly grounded.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Keep the appliance away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents.
  • Use only potable (drinkable) water.
  • This ice maker is not a freezer; it does not keep ice frozen for extended periods. Transfer ice to a freezer for storage.
  • Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or when not in use.
  • Supervise children when the appliance is in use.

4. Setup

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your ice maker:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or labels.
  2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
  3. Settle: After transportation, allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
  4. Clean: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the 'Maintenance and Cleaning' section for detailed instructions.
  5. Fill Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your CROWNFUL Ice Maker is straightforward:

  1. Power On: Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control panel to turn on the unit.
  2. Select Ice Size: Press the 'SELECT' button to choose between two ice cube sizes:
    • Small: Ideal for quickly chilling drinks.
    • Large: Melts slower, suitable for prolonged chilling.
    The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin its cycle. It can produce 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes in approximately 8-10 minutes.
  4. Smart Reminders:
    • Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the 'ICE FULL' indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will automatically stop making ice. Remove ice to resume production.
    • Add Water Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the 'ADD WATER' indicator light will illuminate. Add more potable water to the reservoir to continue ice production.
  5. Harvesting Ice: Once ice is produced, use the provided ice scoop to transfer the ice cubes from the basket. For long-term storage, transfer the ice to a freezer immediately, as the ice maker is not designed to keep ice frozen.
  6. Power Off: Press the 'ON/OFF' button to turn off the unit when you are finished using it.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Ice Basket and Scoop: Wash the ice basket and scoop with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Clean the exterior of the ice maker with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Air Vents: Regularly clean the air vents on the side of the unit with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to prevent dust buildup, which can affect performance.
  • Storage: If storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry inside and out. Store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
