1. Introduction

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Universal Phone Cage Assembly

The universal phone cage accommodates smartphones with a width range of 62mm to 86mm and a thickness within 17mm. Ensure your phone fits these dimensions, even with a case.

1. Insert Phone: Gently slide your smartphone into the adjustable phone cage. Ensure it is securely gripped by the cage's mechanism.
2. Attach Side Handles: Connect the two side handles to the designated mounting points on the sides of the phone cage. Tighten the screws to secure them. These handles provide a stable grip for handheld shooting.
3. Attach Tripod: Screw the metal tabletop tripod into the 1/4"-20 threaded hole at the bottom of the phone cage for stable desktop or ground shooting.

3.2 Attaching Accessories

The phone cage features multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and cold shoe mounts for accessory attachment.

• LED Light: Slide the mini LED light onto one of the cold shoe mounts located on the top or sides of the cage.
• Shotgun Microphone: Mount the shotgun microphone onto another available cold shoe mount. Connect the microphone to your smartphone using the appropriate cable (Type-C or Lightning to USB-C adapter).
• Power Bank Holder: Attach the power bank holder to a 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the cage. Insert your power bank (not included) into the holder to provide extended power to your phone or accessories.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Shooting Modes

The rig supports both horizontal and vertical shooting orientations.

• Vertical Mode: Ideal for social media content like Instagram Stories or TikTok. Hold the rig with the phone in a portrait orientation.
• Horizontal Mode: Suitable for traditional video formats, YouTube, or cinematic shots. Hold the rig with the phone in a landscape orientation.
• Tripod Mode: For stable, stationary shots, place the rig on a flat surface using the attached tripod.

4.2 LED Light Operation

The mini LED light features adjustable brightness and color temperature.

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the LED light.
• Adjust Brightness: Use the control dial or buttons to adjust brightness from 0-100%.
• Adjust Color Temperature: Change the color temperature between 2700K (warm light) and 6500K (cold light) to match your environment or desired mood.
• Charging: The LED light has a built-in 2200mAh lithium-ion battery. Charge it via the included USB Type-C charging cable. A full charge provides approximately 105 minutes of operation at maximum brightness.

4.3 Microphone Usage

The shotgun microphone features a cardioid pattern to focus on sound directly in front of it, reducing peripheral noise.

• Connection: Connect the microphone to your smartphone using the appropriate cable (Type-C or Lightning to USB-C adapter). The microphone is battery-free and plug-and-play.
• Wind Protection: Use the standard foam windshield for general use. For windy conditions, attach the furry windshield (windproof sweater) to minimize wind noise.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the rig components. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or electronic parts.

• Microphone not recording audio:
  • Verify the microphone is securely connected to the correct port on your smartphone using the appropriate adapter (Type-C or Lightning to USB-C).
  • Check your phone's audio input settings to ensure the external microphone is selected as the input source.
  • Ensure the recording application has permission to access the microphone in your phone's privacy settings.
• LED Light not turning on:
  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect it to a USB-C power source using the provided cable.
  • Press and hold the power button on the LED light for a few seconds to turn it on.
• Rig feels unstable: Ensure all screws for side handles and tripod are tightened securely. Check that the phone is properly seated and clamped within the cage.
