The Smart Battery Box integrates several essential components for power management and distribution:

  • External +/- Terminals: For direct high-current connections (not fused).
  • 2x 50AMP Quick Connectors (Anderson Type Plugs SB50 compatible): Each protected by a 60A fuse, suitable for input charging and high-current output to appliances like refrigerators and ovens.
  • Digital Voltmeter: Displays the battery voltage.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your battery into the ALL-TOP Smart Battery Box:

  1. Open the Lid: Unlatch and remove the top lid of the battery box.
  2. Insert Battery: Carefully place your compatible 12V-24V battery into the box. Ensure it fits snugly. If the battery is smaller than the internal dimensions, consider adding non-conductive padding to prevent movement during transport.
  3. Connect Terminals: Connect the battery's positive (+) terminal to the red internal cable and the negative (-) terminal to the black internal cable. Ensure connections are secure.
  4. Close Lid: Replace the lid and secure it with the tie-down strap.

5. Operating Instructions

The Smart Battery Box offers multiple ways to power and charge your devices.

5.1. Using Input/Output Ports

  • 50AMP Quick Connectors: These connectors are designed for both charging the internal battery (input) and providing high-current output to external appliances. Each is protected by a 60A fuse. Connect compatible Anderson-type plugs for solar panels, generators, or high-power devices.
  • USB Ports: Use the two USB ports (5V 2.1A/1A) to charge smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices.
  • 12V Cigarette Socket: Plug in standard 12V accessories such as car chargers, portable air compressors, or small inverters.
  • Digital Voltmeter: Monitor the battery's voltage level via the integrated digital display.

5.2. Overload Protection

The battery box features built-in protection mechanisms:

  • Each 50AMP Quick Connector is protected by a 60AMP fuse.
  • The USB and Cigarette Ports are protected by a 16AMP resettable circuit breaker switch. If an overload occurs, the switch will trip. To reset, simply press the switch back in after resolving the overload condition.
  • External +/- terminals are not fused and are intended for high-current direct connections where external fusing may be required.

6. Safety Guidelines

Adhere to the following safety guidelines to ensure safe operation and prevent damage or injury:

  • Always use the side handles to lift the battery box. Do not attempt to lift it by the lid or any top-mounted accessories, as this can lead to injury or damage.
  • Ensure all electrical connections are secure and correctly polarized (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  • Do not expose the battery box to excessive moisture or immerse it in water. While designed for outdoor use, it is not fully waterproof.
  • Do not attempt to modify the internal wiring or components of the battery box.
  • Keep children away from the battery box during operation and storage.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the battery box, especially if using a battery type that requires venting.

7. Maintenance

  • No Power Output from 50AMP Connectors: Check the 60A fuses associated with each connector. Replace if blown. Ensure the internal battery is charged.
  • Voltmeter Not Displaying: Ensure the internal battery is properly connected and has sufficient charge.
  • Battery Not Charging: Verify the input source (solar panel, generator) is functioning correctly and connected properly to the 50AMP input connectors. Check associated fuses.
  • Loose Lid: Ensure the tie-down strap is securely fastened.
