Controls and Indicators:
- SNOOZE Button: Temporarily silences the alarm.

Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect the included AC power cord to the AC Power Jack on the back of the unit and then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz). The unit will power on and the display will flash, indicating it's ready for time setting.
2. Battery Backup Installation
For battery backup, which maintains time settings during a power outage, install two (2) AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Setting the Clock
- Press and hold the CLOCK/MEM button until the hour digits begin to flash on the display.
- Press the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the PM indicator if setting a PM time.
- Press the CLOCK/MEM button again. The minute digits will flash.
- Press the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the CLOCK/MEM button one more time to save the time setting.
Operating Instructions
1. Radio Operation (FM)
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "FM" appears on the display.
- Press the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to manually tune to your desired FM station. For automatic scanning, press and hold these buttons until the radio starts scanning.
- To Save a Preset Station (up to 23 presets):
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press the CLOCK/MEM button. The preset number will flash.
- Use the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to select the desired preset number (P01-P23).
- Press the CLOCK/MEM button again to confirm and save the station.
- To Recall a Preset Station: In FM mode, press the CLOCK/MEM button repeatedly to cycle through saved presets.
2. CD Player Operation
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "CD" appears on the display.
- Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up into the compartment.
- Close the CD compartment cover. The CD will begin to play automatically.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume playback.
- Use the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to skip to the next or previous track. Press and hold to fast forward or rewind within a track.
- Press the STOP button to stop CD playback.
3. Alarm Settings (Dual Alarms)
The unit features two independent alarms (AL1 and AL2) that can be set to wake you to CD, radio, or buzzer.
- Setting Alarm Time:
- Press and hold the AL1 or AL2 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Use the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Observe the PM indicator.
- Press the AL1 or AL2 button again. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Setting Alarm Source:
- After setting the alarm time, press the AL1 or AL2 button one more time. The display will show the current alarm source (CD, FM, or BUZ).
- Use the TUNE+/SKIP+ or TUNE-/SKIP- buttons to select your desired wake source.
- Press the AL1 or AL2 button again to confirm and save the alarm settings. The corresponding alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) will light up on the display.
- Disabling/Enabling Alarm: Press the AL1 or AL2 button briefly to toggle the alarm on or off. The alarm indicator will light up when the alarm is active.
- Stopping a sounding alarm: Press the POWER button to turn off the alarm. It will reset for the next day.
4. Snooze and Sleep Timer
- Snooze: When an alarm is sounding, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
- Sleep Timer: While the unit is playing (CD or Radio), press the SLEEP button (often integrated with SNOOZE or a separate button, check your unit if not explicitly listed). Each press cycles through preset sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF). The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.
5. Dimmer Control
To adjust the brightness of the LED display, press the POWER/DIMMER button repeatedly while the unit is on. It will cycle through different brightness levels.
6. Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)
You can connect an external audio device (like a smartphone or MP3 player) to the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).

- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN jack on the Memorex unit.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until "AUX" appears on the display.
- Start playback on your external device. The audio will now play through the Memorex unit's speaker.
- Control volume from both the Memorex unit and your external device.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
To clean the exterior of the unit, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as these may damage the finish. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
CD Care
Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches. If a CD is dirty, wipe it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center outwards. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
