Setup and Assembly
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.
- Battery Installation: Insert the battery into the main body of the vacuum until it clicks securely into place. The Dyson V11 Outsize Origin+ comes with two interchangeable batteries.
- Charging: Connect the charger to the battery. The battery can be charged while attached to the vacuum or separately. A full charge is recommended before first use. The wall-mounted docking station can be used for convenient storage and charging.
- Attaching the Wand and Cleaner Head: Connect the extension wand to the main body of the vacuum. Then, attach the desired cleaner head (e.g., High Torque XL cleaner head) to the end of the wand until it clicks.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the power trigger to start the vacuum. Release the trigger to turn it off.
- Cleaning Modes: The Dyson V11 features multiple cleaning modes:

Maintenance
- Emptying the Dustbin: The 1.9-liter dustbin should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal suction.
- Ensure the vacuum is turned off.
- Hold the vacuum over a trash can.
- Push the red lever on the dustbin to release the bottom flap and empty the contents.
- Close the flap securely until it clicks.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter should be washed periodically (approximately once a month) to ensure proper air filtration and suction.
- Twist the filter counter-clockwise from the top of the motor housing to remove it.
- Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear.
- Tap the filter gently to remove excess water.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use a dryer or heat source.
- Brush Bar Cleaning: Regularly check the cleaner head's brush bar for tangled hair or debris. Remove any obstructions to maintain effective cleaning.

Troubleshooting
- No Power/Low Suction:
- Check battery charge level on the digital display. Recharge if necessary.
