1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your WHILL Model C2 Portable Power Chair. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating the WHILL Model C2. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in injury or damage to the device.

  • Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds.
  • Obstacles: While the Model C2 can overcome obstacles up to 2 inches high, exercise caution and approach obstacles slowly.

3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Assembly

The WHILL Model C2 is designed for easy assembly. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.

The chair disassembles into four main pieces for convenient transportation. These typically include the seat unit, the base unit (with wheels), and the battery. Refer to the quick start guide included in your packaging for detailed step-by-step assembly instructions.

3.2 Initial Battery Charging

Before first use, fully charge the lithium-ion battery. The battery is designed for airline travel and takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge, providing a driving range of up to 12.4 miles.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Controls and Driving

The WHILL Model C2 is operated using a joystick controller. Familiarize yourself with the joystick's responsiveness and the chair's movement in an open, safe area before navigating in confined spaces.

The patented front Omni-wheels allow for a tight turning radius of 29.9 inches, enabling easy navigation in elevators, small apartments, and office environments.

4.2 Remote App Control

The WHILL Model C2 features intelligent technology that allows remote control via the WHILL app. This app can be used to drive the chair remotely, monitor device and battery health, and lock the device for security.

4.3 Portability

For transportation, the Model C2 can be easily disassembled in four steps. This makes it convenient to store in a car trunk or other transport vehicles.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Care

  • Always use the original WHILL charger for your Model C2 battery.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.

5.2 Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the power chair with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no water enters electrical components.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WHILL Model C2, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
