Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.
- Assemble Pole and Hanger: Insert the telescopic pole into the base unit. Secure the garment hanger attachment to the top of the pole. Extend the collapsible arms of the hanger as needed.
- Connect Steam Hose: Attach the steam hose to the designated port on the base unit. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent steam leakage.
- Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the base unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with distilled water. The tank has markings for minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX) fill levels, indicating capacity up to 1 gallon (approximately 16 cups). Do not overfill.
- Reinsert Water Tank: Place the filled water tank back into the base unit, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Position Steamer: Place the steamer on a flat, stable surface away from walls or furniture, allowing adequate space for steam to dissipate. The non-skid wheels allow for easy repositioning.

Operating Instructions
- Power On: Plug the steamer into a standard electrical outlet.
- Select Fabric Setting: Turn the control dial located on the front of the base unit to the desired fabric type (e.g., Silk, Wool, Cotton, Linen). This adjusts the steam output for optimal results.
- Heat Up: Allow approximately 45 seconds for the steamer to heat up and produce continuous steam.
- Prepare Garment: Hang the garment on the integrated hanger. For best results, gently pull the fabric taut with one hand while steaming with the other.
- Begin Steaming: Hold the steam head a few inches from the fabric and move it in a downward motion. For stubborn wrinkles, use the optional steam brush attachment.
- Power Off: Once steaming is complete, turn the control dial to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the outlet.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Farberware Garment Steamer.
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, or when storing the steamer, empty any remaining water from the tank. This prevents mineral buildup and keeps the water fresh. The tank can be easily lifted from the base for emptying.
- Descaling: Depending on water hardness in your area, periodic descaling may be necessary. Consult the full product manual for detailed descaling instructions.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Store Properly: Store the steamer in a cool, dry place. The collapsible pole and hanger allow for compact storage.
