Connectivity Modes
The Keychron K6 supports both wired and wireless (Bluetooth) connections. A switch on the side of the keyboard allows you to select your preferred mode.

Wired Mode
- Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set to 'Cable'.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer.
- The keyboard will be recognized automatically by your system.

Bluetooth Mode
- Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set to 'Bluetooth'.
- On your device (computer, smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Press and hold the Fn + 1 key combination for 4 seconds until the '1' key starts flashing rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- Select 'Keychron K6' from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your device.
- Once connected, the '1' key will stop flashing and remain steadily lit.
- To pair with a second or third device, repeat steps 3-5 using Fn + 2 or Fn + 3 respectively.

Operating System Switch
Use the dedicated OS toggle switch on the side of the keyboard to select between 'Win/Android' and 'Mac/iOS' layouts. This ensures correct key functionality for your operating system.
Operating Instructions
Backlight Control
The Keychron K6 features dynamic RGB backlighting. Use the following key combinations to control the lighting effects:
- Fn + Light Bulb Key: Cycle through different RGB lighting effects.
- Fn + Arrow Up/Down: Adjust backlight brightness.
- Fn + Arrow Left/Right: Adjust backlight speed/color (depending on effect).

Multimedia and Function Keys

Battery Management
The keyboard is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery. To check the battery level, press Fn + B. The backlight will flash to indicate the battery status. When the battery is low, the keyboard's indicator light will flash red. Connect the USB-C cable to charge the keyboard.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean dust or debris with compressed air.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard frequently. Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Switch Replacement: If you have the hot-swappable version, use the switch puller to carefully remove and replace switches. Ensure the new switch pins align correctly before pressing it into place.
Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Connecting via Bluetooth
- Ensure the keyboard's mode switch is set to 'Bluetooth'.
- Make sure the keyboard is charged.
- Try re-pairing the keyboard by holding Fn + 1/2/3 for 4 seconds.
- Remove 'Keychron K6' from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
- Test with a different device to rule out device-specific issues.
Keys Not Responding
- Check the connection mode (wired/Bluetooth) and ensure it's correctly set.
