2. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

3. Initial Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport if needed. Verify that all listed components in Section 1.1 are present and undamaged.
3.2 First Use Cleaning
Before first use, wash the reusable coffee filter, coffee scoop, tumbler, lid, and straw in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the coffee maker unit in water.
3.3 Placement
Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation and to prevent steam from damaging overhead cabinets.
4. Operating Instructions: Making Iced Coffee
Follow these steps to brew a perfect cup of iced coffee:
- Prepare the Tumbler: Fill the 22 oz. reusable tumbler with ice cubes up to the designated ice line. Place the tumbler under the coffee maker's dispenser.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Open the lid of the coffee maker. Place the reusable coffee filter into the filter basket. Use the included coffee scoop to add your desired amount of coffee grounds into the filter. The measuring system is designed to brew a concentrated coffee over ice. Close the lid securely.

- Add Water: Fill the water reservoir with cold, fresh water up to the indicated water line. Do not overfill.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the 'Start' button or flip the power switch to begin the brewing cycle. The coffee maker will brew hot, concentrated coffee directly into the ice-filled tumbler.

5. Cleaning and Care
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Oster IcedCoffee Maker.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Reusable Filter: After each use, remove the reusable coffee filter and discard used coffee grounds. Rinse the filter thoroughly under running water. It can also be washed with warm, soapy water.
- Tumbler, Lid, and Straw: The tumbler, lid, and straw should be hand-washed with warm, soapy water after each use. The tumbler is hand-wash only to maintain its insulation properties and prevent damage.
- Coffee Maker Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
5.2 Descaling (Monthly or as needed)
Mineral deposits from water can build up in the coffee maker over time, affecting performance. Descale your unit monthly or when you notice a decrease in brewing speed or coffee temperature.
- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water.
- Place an empty tumbler or mug under the dispenser.
- Run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds.
- After the cycle, let the unit cool for 15 minutes.
- Repeat the process with fresh water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
6. Troubleshooting Guide
