1. Introduction

The KETOTEK KT3100 is a versatile digital thermostat plug designed for precise temperature control in various applications. It features a 3-meter external NTC10K/B3950 temperature sensor, supporting both heating and cooling modes. 4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the thermostat and its sensor from the packaging.
  2. Connect Sensor: Ensure the 3-meter temperature sensor is securely plugged into the designated port on the thermostat.
  3. Placement: Position the sensor in the area where you wish to measure and control the temperature.
  4. Power On: Plug the KT3100 thermostat into a standard 230V power outlet. The LCD display will illuminate, showing the current measured temperature.
  5. Connect Appliance: Plug your heating or cooling appliance (e.g., heater, fan, refrigerator) into the power outlet on the front of the KT3100 thermostat.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Setting Temperature Control (Heating/Cooling Mode)

This mode allows you to set a desired temperature range for your appliance to maintain.

  1. Press the MODE button once. The 'Start Temperature (ON)' value will flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the desired temperature at which your appliance should turn ON.
  3. Press the MODE button again. The 'Stop Temperature (OFF)' value will flash.
  4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the desired temperature at which your appliance should turn OFF.
  5. Press the MODE button a third time to save the settings and exit the programming mode.

The thermostat will automatically switch between heating and cooling modes based on your set start and stop temperatures. If the 'Start Temperature' is lower than the 'Stop Temperature', it operates in heating mode. If 'Start Temperature' is higher than 'Stop Temperature', it operates in cooling mode.

5.2. Timing Functions (F01-F04)

The KT3100 offers four timing modes for advanced control. To access timing modes, press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds until 'F01' appears.

  1. F01: Cycle Timer Mode
    Sets the ON and OFF duration for a repeating cycle. Press SET to enter settings. Use UP/DOWN to set ON hours/minutes, then SET again to set OFF hours/minutes. Press MODE to confirm.
  2. F02: Countdown ON Mode
    The appliance will turn ON after a set countdown period. Press SET to enter settings. Use UP/DOWN to set countdown hours/minutes. Press MODE to confirm.
  3. F03: Countdown OFF Mode
    The appliance will turn OFF after a set countdown period. Press SET to enter settings. Use UP/DOWN to set countdown hours/minutes. Press MODE to confirm.
  4. F04: Countdown ON, Countdown OFF Mode
    The appliance will turn ON after a set countdown, then turn OFF after another set countdown. Press SET to enter settings. Use UP/DOWN to set ON countdown hours/minutes, then SET again to set OFF countdown hours/minutes. Press MODE to confirm.

The time range for all timing functions is 0 to 99 hours and 59 minutes.

5.3. Temperature Calibration

If you notice a discrepancy between the thermostat's measured temperature and a known accurate thermometer, you can calibrate the sensor.

  1. With the device powered on, press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds. The calibration value will flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the calibration value from -9.9°C to 9.9°C.
  3. Press the SET button again to save the setting and exit.

5.4. Memory Function

The KT3100 thermostat is equipped with a memory function that automatically saves your last settings. In case of a power outage, the device will resume operation with the previously configured settings once power is restored.

5.5. Reset Function

To restore the thermostat to its factory default settings:

  • Locate the small reset button (often a small hole) on the device.
  • Use a thin, pointed object (like a paperclip) to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds until the display resets.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Sensor Care: Handle the temperature sensor carefully. Avoid bending or damaging the cable.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the thermostat in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Display Not On: Check if the thermostat is securely plugged into a live power outlet.
  • Appliance Not Responding: Ensure the appliance is correctly plugged into the thermostat's outlet and that the appliance itself is powered on and functional. Verify temperature settings are within the desired range.
  • Inaccurate Temperature Reading: Perform a temperature calibration as described in Section 5.3. Ensure the sensor is properly placed and not exposed to external heat sources or drafts that could affect its reading.
  • Settings Not Saving: If settings are not retained after power cycling, try performing a reset (Section 5.5) and reconfigure. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
