4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your air scrubber.

4.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the air scrubber from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, do not operate and contact customer support.
  3. Ensure all filters are present and correctly installed. The unit comes with a complete set of filters.
  4. Remove the foam cap from the filter compartment before use.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the air scrubber in the desired location, ensuring adequate clearance around the air intake and exhaust vents.
  • The unit can be used horizontally or vertically.
  • For enhanced air purification in larger areas, multiple units can be daisy-chained and stacked. Up to 3 units can be connected, providing a combined airflow of 1500 CFM.

4.3 Portability

  • The unit features 360° swivel casters for easy movement. To lock the casters, press down on the lock plate on each wheel. To unlock, lift the lock plate.
  • Use the integrated handle for single-handed relocation.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel for efficient operation.

5.1 Control Panel Functions

  • Variable Speed Dial: Turn the dial to adjust the fan speed from OFF to MAX.
  • Circuit Breaker: Resettable circuit breaker protects the unit from electrical overload. If the unit stops working, check and reset the breaker.
  • Time & Amps Tracker: Displays operational time and current amperage draw.
  • HEPA Change Reminder: An indicator light will illuminate when it is time to inspect or change the HEPA filter.
  • Auxiliary GFCI Outlets: Two 115V AC outlets are provided. Maximum load is 12 Amps when the air scrubber is OFF, and 9 Amps when the air scrubber is ON.

5.2 Starting the Unit

  1. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the Variable Speed Dial from OFF to the desired speed setting.
  3. The unit will begin drawing air through its filtration system.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air scrubber.

6.1 Filter Replacement

The HEPA filter change reminder light indicates when the HEPA filter may need inspection or replacement. The pre-filter and carbon filter should also be checked regularly.

  1. Unplug the air scrubber from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the filter access panel.
  3. Remove the old filters, starting with the pre-filter, then the carbon filter, and finally the HEPA filter. Dispose of used filters responsibly.
  4. Insert new filters in the reverse order: HEPA filter first, then the carbon filter, and finally the pre-filter. Ensure they are seated correctly.
  5. Close the filter access panel securely.
  6. Plug the unit back in and resume operation.

6.2 Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no water enters the control panel or electrical components.
