Setup
Battery Installation
The Bushnell EX650 requires 3 AAA batteries for operation. To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the monocular.
- Slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Micro SD Card Installation
The monocular supports micro SD cards for storing recorded videos and images. An 8GB micro SD card is typically included.
- Locate the micro SD card slot next to the USB port.
- Gently insert the micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
- To remove, push the card inward until it springs out.
Note: Some users have reported issues with larger capacity SD cards (e.g., 64GB). It is recommended to use the included 8GB card or test other cards for compatibility.
Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
To power on the monocular, press and hold the power button (usually the top button on the control panel) until the display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display shuts down.

Focus Adjustment
The monocular features two focus adjustments:
- Eyepiece Focus: Adjust the eyepiece ring (closest to your eye) to sharpen the display screen.
- Objective Lens Focus: Rotate the objective lens ring (front of the monocular) to bring distant objects into clear focus.
Mode Selection (Photo/Video)
Press the 'Mode' button (usually labeled 'M') to switch between photo capture and video recording modes. The current mode will be indicated on the internal display.
Zoom Function
Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to adjust the digital zoom level. The monocular offers up to 5x digital zoom. Note that higher digital zoom levels may result in a grainier image.
