5. Setup and Operation

5.1 Installing the Battery

1. Ensure the speaker is powered off.
2. Align a charged RYOBI ONE+ 18V battery with the battery port on the bottom of the speaker.
3. Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove the battery, press the release latches on the battery and slide it out.

5.2 Powering On/Off

• Press and hold the Power button ( ) located on the top panel for approximately 2 seconds.
• A voice prompt will indicate "Power On" or "Power Off".

5.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. With the speaker powered on, the Bluetooth indicator light will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "RYOBI Speaker" from the list of devices.
4. Once connected, a voice prompt will confirm "Bluetooth Connected" and the indicator light will turn solid.
5. To disconnect, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds, or disconnect from your device's Bluetooth settings.

6. Operating the Speaker

6.1 Basic Controls

• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button ( ) to start or pause audio playback.
• Volume Up: Press the "+" button to increase the volume.
• Volume Down: Press the "-" button to decrease the volume.

Note: Volume can also be controlled directly from your connected Bluetooth device.
