Installation
This faucet is designed for single-hole, deck-mount installation. Refer to Figure 2 for precise dimensions and hole requirements.
- Prepare the Sink/Countertop: Ensure the mounting hole on your sink or countertop is clean and has a diameter of approximately 30mm (as indicated in Figure 2).
- Install the Faucet:
- Place the rubber gasket on the base of the faucet.
- Insert the faucet body through the mounting hole.
- From underneath the sink, slide the metal washer and then the mounting nut onto the threaded shank.
- Tighten the mounting nut securely using a basin wrench or appropriate tool. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Water Supply Lines:
- Connect the hot and cold flexible supply hoses to the corresponding water supply valves. Ensure the hot water line connects to the hot inlet on the faucet (usually marked with red or 'H') and the cold water line to the cold inlet (blue or 'C').
- Hand-tighten the connections, then use a wrench for a final quarter turn. Avoid overtightening.
- Install Pull-Out Sprayer and Counterweight:
- Feed the pull-out sprayer hose through the faucet body and down into the cabinet.
- Attach the counterweight to the pull-out hose at a point that allows the sprayer to retract smoothly and fully.
- Connect the pull-out hose to the designated connection point on the faucet's underside.
- Test for Leaks:
- Slowly turn on the main water supply.
- Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, tighten the connections slightly until they stop.
- Run water through the faucet for a few minutes to flush out any debris.
Operation
The Reginox R34583 PALM features a single lever for controlling both water flow and temperature, and a pull-out spout for extended reach.
- Water Flow: Lift the lever upwards to increase water flow. Push it downwards to decrease and turn off the water.
- Temperature Control: Move the lever to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water. Adjust the position between hot and cold to achieve the desired temperature.
- Pull-Out Sprayer: Gently pull the spout head away from the main faucet body to extend the sprayer hose. After use, guide the sprayer back into place; the counterweight will assist in retraction.
Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your brushed stainless steel faucet.
- Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Avoid: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, steel wool, or cleaners containing ammonia, bleach, or acid, as these can damage the brushed finish.
- Aerator Maintenance: If water flow becomes restricted, the aerator at the tip of the spout may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator, clean any debris, and rinse it before reattaching.
