1. Product Overview

The PREXISO 2-in-1 Laser Level (Model P1P20) is a versatile and robust tool designed for precise alignment and leveling tasks in various applications, including construction, home renovation, picture hanging, and wall writing/painting. It combines the functionality of a traditional spirit level with advanced laser technology, offering both a 100 Ft alignment point and a 30 Ft leveling line.

Key Features:

  • Laser Alignment Point & Leveling Line: Projects a bright red beam for accurate 100 Ft alignment points and a 30 Ft horizontal line. Can also align plumb with the built-in spirit-level magnet and be used vertically.
  • 12-Inch Spirit Level: Constructed from heavy-duty aluminum for lightweight durability. Features a 180° bubble vial and one triangular bubble vial with a triangular mirror for horizontal, vertical, or angular applications. Includes a V-shaped groove for pipe measurements.
  • LED Light: Two bubble vial LED lights enhance readability in dark workspaces. Long press the red button to toggle the light.
  • Anti-shock & Magnetic: Designed with over-molded rubber end caps for shock resistance and non-marring leveling. Two milled surfaces with magnets allow easy attachment to iron surfaces for convenient, hands-free operation.
  • Note: This device does not measure distance.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The PREXISO Laser Level requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the rear side of the level.
  2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Operation

3.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the laser function, press the red button located on the side of the level. Press the button again to cycle between laser point and laser line modes. Long press the red button to turn the LED lights for the bubble vials on or off.

3.2 Using the Laser Alignment Point and Line

The laser level offers two projection modes: a bright point laser and a bright line laser.

  • Bright Point Laser: Ideal for aligning levels and plumbing with the assistance of the built-in level magnet.
  • Bright Line Laser: Can be used horizontally for tasks like hanging pictures or shelves. It can also be used vertically with the help of the level magnet for plumb alignment.

For horizontal alignment using the line laser, ensure the tool is placed against the wall and use the bubble vials to confirm it is level. If the laser is not projecting a line, verify the tool's orientation and levelness.

3.3 Utilizing Bubble Vials and LED Lights

The level features 0° and 90° solid block vials with LED lights for enhanced visibility. The Verti-Site Design allows for easy reading from the side face. The LED lights are particularly useful in dimly lit environments.

3.4 Magnetic Functionality and Pipe Measurements

The level is equipped with strong magnets on two milled surfaces, allowing it to be securely attached to any iron surface for convenient, hands-free operation. Additionally, a V-shaped groove is integrated for accurate pipe measurements.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your PREXISO Laser Level.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the laser level in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Handling: While designed to be anti-shock, avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to harsh impacts to maintain its calibration.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your PREXISO Laser Level, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
