Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

2. Desktop Charging: Place the radio into the desktop charging cradle. Ensure the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the cradle will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).

2. Antenna Installation

Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Belt Clip Installation

Attach the belt clip to the designated slot on the back of the radio by sliding it down until it locks into place.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume

Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn off the radio.

2. Channel Selection / Frequency Mode

The radio operates in both Channel Mode (pre-programmed channels) and Frequency Mode (VFO - Variable Frequency Oscillator) for direct frequency input.

• Press the VFO/MR button to switch between Channel Mode and Frequency Mode.
• In Channel Mode, use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to select a channel.
• In Frequency Mode, use the keypad to directly enter the desired frequency.

3. Transmitting and Receiving

• To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button on the left side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.
• Ensure you are on the correct frequency or channel for communication.
