Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Seiko Melodies in Motion Wall Clock, Golden Trellis (Model QXM390BRH). This musical clock features a golden garden motif, hourly melodies, and a light sensor for quiet operation in low-light conditions. Please read these instructions carefully before using your clock.

Setup
1. Unpacking
- Carefully remove the clock from its packaging.
- Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
- Inspect the clock for any signs of damage.
2. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert four (4) C-size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Time Setting
- Locate the time setting knob on the back of the clock.
- Turn the knob clockwise to set the correct time.
- Ensure the hour and minute hands are aligned correctly.
4. Mounting the Clock
- Choose a suitable wall location that can support the clock's weight (approximately 7.4 pounds).
- Use appropriate wall mounting hardware, such as a sturdy screw or hook, with adequate anchors for stability.
- Hang the clock securely using the integrated mounting hook on the back.

Operating Instructions
1. Melody Selection
Your clock offers 36 high-fidelity melodies, categorized into three groups:
- Classical Songs: A selection of timeless classical pieces.
- Glass Bell Tracks: Melodies produced with a glass bell sound.
- Holiday Favorites: Seasonal tunes for festive occasions.
Use the melody selector switch on the back of the clock to choose your preferred melody group.
2. Hourly Performance
On the hour, the clock's dial will open, revealing a turning decorative wheel adorned with Swarovski crystals. A selected melody will play during this motion.

3. Light Sensor
The integrated light sensor automatically disengages all melodies and motion when the room becomes dark, ensuring quiet operation during nighttime hours. The clock will resume its hourly performance when sufficient light is detected.
4. Volume Control
Adjust the volume of the melodies using the volume control knob located on the back of the clock. Turn clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- Wipe the clock's glass and frame with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
2. Battery Replacement
Replace all four C-size batteries approximately every six months, or when the clock's performance (timekeeping, melodies, or motion) begins to diminish. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones.
3. Storage
If the clock will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the mechanism. Store the clock in its original packaging in a dry, cool place.
Troubleshooting
- Clock not keeping accurate time or stopped:
Check if the batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity. Replace all four C-size batteries with new ones.
- Melodies or motion not activating:
Ensure the room is sufficiently lit; the light sensor will prevent operation in darkness. Check the volume setting. Verify batteries are fresh and correctly installed.
- Sound quality is poor or distorted:
Adjust the volume control. Replace batteries if they are low.
