6. Installation & Setup
6.1 Wiring Diagram and System Overview
The module integrates into your existing electrical system to control roller shutters. A ZigBee hub (gateway) is required for smart control via the app and voice assistants.

6.2 Physical Installation
- Disconnect Power: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Access Wiring: Open the electrical box where your roller shutter switch is located.
- Connect Wires: Connect the module according to the wiring diagram provided with your roller shutter motor and existing switch. The module has terminals for Line (L), Neutral (N), and motor control (S1, S2, L, N for motor).
- Mount Module: Due to its compact size (52 x 47 x 18 mm), the module can be installed directly inside a standard 503 electrical box or a deviation box. Use the included wall mount clip or DZ47 rail if necessary.
- Secure and Close: Carefully place the module and wiring back into the electrical box, ensuring no wires are pinched. Close the electrical box cover.
- Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on at the circuit breaker.

6.3 App Pairing (ZigBee)
- Download App: Download the 'Tuya Smart' or 'Smart Life' app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Register/Login: Create an account or log in to your existing account.
- Add Device: Ensure your ZigBee hub (gateway) is already set up and connected to the app. In the app, select 'Add Device' or the '+' icon, then choose the ZigBee Curtain Switch category.
- Enter Pairing Mode: Follow the app's instructions to put the SHZ108ZR module into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing a button on the module or cycling its power.
- Complete Pairing: The app will detect and add the module. Once added, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.
7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Manual Control
If connected to a traditional double-mount wall switch, you can operate the roller shutters manually by pressing the 'Up' or 'Down' buttons on the wall switch.
7.2 App Control
Once paired with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, you can control your roller shutters from anywhere using your smartphone.
- Open the app and select your curtain switch module.
- Use the on-screen controls to open, close, or pause the roller shutters at any desired position.
- The app also allows you to check the current status (open/closed) of your roller blinds remotely.
