- Battery Replacement: Replace the 2 AAA batteries in the remote control when its range decreases or it stops responding. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the remote control and receiver to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Remote not controlling fan/light:
- Ensure power is supplied to the fan at the wall switch and circuit breaker.
- Check if the remote control batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
- Verify that the fan's pull chains (if any) are set to the highest speed for the fan and ON for the light.
- Confirm all wiring connections are secure according to the installation diagram.
- Ensure the receiver's antenna wire is not broken and is positioned for optimal signal reception.
- Interference with other fans:
- Each remote and receiver kit is pre-paired. In default settings, one remote controls one ceiling fan. If you have two kits, they should not interfere with each other.
- To control two fans with one remote, you would need to re-pair the single remote to both receivers.
- Light not dimming:
- This kit does not support dimming. The light function is strictly ON/OFF.
- If using a dimmer wall switch, it may cause humming or malfunction. Replace with a standard ON/OFF switch.
- Fan without light kit:
- The kit works with fans without light kits. Simply cap off the blue wire (live wire for light) if not used.
