  1. Unpack the Dehumidifier: Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Positioning: Place the dehumidifier upright on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 20 cm of free space around the air inlet and outlet for optimal performance. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  3. Allow to Settle: After transport, allow the unit to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This is crucial for the refrigerant to stabilize.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Wi-Fi Setup (Optional): Download the Cecotec app on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your dehumidifier to your home Wi-Fi network. This typically involves pressing the Wi-Fi button on the unit for 5 seconds.

Continuous Drainage (Optional):

For continuous operation without needing to empty the tank, you can connect a drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage outlet. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to flow out by gravity into a suitable drain.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your dehumidifier.

Emptying the Water Tank:

  1. When the water tank is full, the unit will stop operating, and a 'full tank' indicator will illuminate.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the side of the unit.
  3. Pour out the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty tank back into its position until it clicks securely. The unit will resume operation.

  2. Locate the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it gently with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
