5. Fuel Mixing and Engine Start-up

This unit uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific gasoline-to-oil mixture. Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 90 or higher.

Fuel Mixture Ratio:

Gasoline : 2-Stroke Engine Oil = 25 : 1

Use the provided mixing bottle to accurately measure and mix the fuel. Shake the mixture thoroughly before adding it to the fuel tank.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Turn on Ignition: Locate the ignition switch on the handle and set it to the 'ON' position.
  2. Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with the correctly mixed gasoline and oil.
  3. Prime the Carburetor: Squeeze the oil bubble (primer bulb) several times until it is filled with fuel.
  4. Engage Choke: Push the damper rod (choke lever) up to the 'CHOKE' position.
  5. Pull Starter Cord: Pull the starter cord gently until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and firmly.
  6. Disengage Choke: Once the engine starts or attempts to start, push the damper rod down to the 'RUN' position.
  7. Restart (if necessary): If the engine does not start, repeat steps 5-6. If it starts and then stalls, push the damper rod down and pull the starter cord again.

6. Operating the Brush Cutter/String Trimmer

Once the engine is running, allow it to warm up for a few moments before beginning work. Always maintain a firm grip on the handles and use the shoulder strap for support.

General Operation Tips:

  • Throttle Control: Use the throttle trigger on the handle to control the engine speed and cutting power.
  • Cutting Motion: For string trimming, use a sweeping motion from side to side. For brush cutting, approach the material steadily.
  • Adjustable Handle: The U-handle can be adjusted along the shaft to provide optimal balance and comfort for the operator, reducing fatigue during extended use.
  • Double Switch Control: The unit features a double switch control (trigger and lock-off button) for enhanced safety during operation.

Available Attachments:

  • Circular Saw Blade: Ideal for heavy brush and small saplings.
  • 3T/4T Blades: Suitable for dense grass and weeds.
  • Dual Thread Line Heads: Best for general lawn grass trimming.

To change attachments, follow the steps outlined in Section 4, "Assembly Instructions," specifically the sub-steps for installing the cutting head. Ensure the new attachment is securely fastened before resuming operation.
