3. Product Overview

The SYNCO G2(A2) system consists of two transmitters (TX) and one receiver (RX). Each unit is compact and features a TFT display screen for easy monitoring of settings and status.

3.1. Transmitter (TX)

• Built-in Microphone: For direct clip-on use.
• External Mic Input: 3.5mm jack for connecting the included lavalier microphone.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Units

Before first use, fully charge both transmitters and the receiver using the provided 3-in-1 charging cable. Connect the cable to a USB power source. The TFT display will indicate charging status. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

4.2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on each transmitter and the receiver for a few seconds to turn them on or off.

4.3. Automatic Pairing

The SYNCO G2(A2) system features automatic pairing. Simply power on both transmitters and the receiver, and they will automatically connect. The TFT displays will show a stable connection indicator once paired.

4.4. Connecting to a Recording Device

• For Cameras (DSLR/Mirrorless): Use the 3.5mm TRS camera cable. Connect one end to the receiver's output jack and the other end to your camera's microphone input.
• For Smartphones/Tablets: Use the 3.5mm TRRS phone cable. Connect one end to the receiver's output jack and the other end to your smartphone/tablet's headphone/microphone jack. For devices without a 3.5mm jack, an appropriate adapter (e.g., USB-C to 3.5mm, Lightning to 3.5mm) may be required (not included).
• For Computers/Laptops: Depending on your computer's input, use either the TRS or TRRS cable. Some computers may require a USB audio interface for optimal performance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Wearing the Transmitter

You can use the transmitter in two ways:

• Built-in Microphone: Clip the transmitter directly onto your clothing, ensuring the microphone faces your mouth.
• External Lavalier Microphone: Plug the external lavalier microphone into the transmitter's 3.5mm input jack. Clip the lavalier microphone to your clothing, approximately 6-8 inches from your mouth, and secure the transmitter to your belt or pocket. Attach a mic windshield for outdoor use to reduce wind noise.

5.2. Muting Function

Press the mute button on the side of the transmitter to temporarily silence the microphone. The TFT display will indicate the mute status. Press again to unmute.

5.3. Real-Time Monitoring

Connect headphones to the receiver's 3.5mm headphone jack to monitor the audio being recorded in real-time. This allows you to check audio quality and levels during recording.

5.4. Gain Control

Use the gain control buttons on the receiver to adjust the output volume. The SYNCO G2(A2) offers 0-6 levels of gain control, allowing you to optimize signal levels to prevent audio clipping or being too quiet.

The receiver supports three output modes:

• Mono Mode: Combines audio from both transmitters into a single mono track. Ideal for single-person recordings or when both speakers are intended to be heard equally.
• Stereo Mode: Separates audio from each transmitter into distinct left and right channels. This is useful for two-person interviews, allowing for individual audio adjustments in post-production.
• Safety Mode: Records a primary audio track and a secondary track at -6dB. This provides a backup in case the main track experiences unexpected clipping or distortion, preventing the recording from being unusable.

Switch between modes using the dedicated button on the receiver. The current mode will be displayed on the TFT screen.
