Setup

Battery Installation

The Sightmark Ultra Shot A-Spec Reflex Sight operates on a single CR123A battery. This battery provides an impressive life of up to 2,000 hours, minimizing the need for frequent replacements.

Mounting

The sight features a quick-detach Picatinny mount for easy and secure attachment to compatible firearms. Ensure the mount is properly tightened to prevent any movement during use. Adjustment tools are provided to fine-tune the tension of the quick-detach lever for a secure fit on your rail system.

Operating the Sight

Power On/Off and Brightness

The Sightmark Ultra Shot A-Spec Reflex Sight features a digital on/off switch. Press the power button to turn the unit on or off. The sight also includes 10 reticle brightness levels, allowing you to adjust the intensity of the reticle to suit ambient light conditions.

Reticle Selection

This optic offers 4 distinct red reticle options to choose from, providing versatility for different targeting scenarios. The reticles include a 5 MOA dot, a 3 MOA dot with a 50 MOA circle, a 3 MOA dot with a 30 MOA circle/crosshair, and a 3 MOA dot with a 50 MOA crosshair.

Zeroing and Adjustments

The sight features windage and elevation adjustments to zero the optic to your firearm. These adjustments are made using the provided tools. Note that the adjustment mechanisms may not provide tactile clicks, requiring careful attention to the visual movement of the reticle during the zeroing process.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the lenses and exterior of the sight. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, such as the provided microfiber cloth, to gently wipe the lenses. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.

Storage

When not in use, store the Sightmark Ultra Shot A-Spec Reflex Sight in a dry, safe place. The included neoprene cover provides protection against dust and minor impacts.

Water Resistance

The optic features a water-resistant construction (IP55 rated for dust and water resistance), adding an extra layer of durability and reliability in wet or rainy conditions. This ensures that the optic remains operational even when exposed to moisture. It is important to note that water-resistant does not mean waterproof; the sight should not be submerged in water.

Shockproof Design

The sight is designed to be shockproof, providing robust performance even under heavy recoil or accidental impacts. Its durable construction helps maintain zero and functionality in demanding situations.

Troubleshooting

Loss of Zero

If the sight experiences a loss of zero, first ensure that the quick-detach mount is securely fastened to the Picatinny rail. Re-tighten the mount using the provided adjustment tools if any looseness is detected. Verify that the windage and elevation adjustments have not been inadvertently moved. If the issue persists, re-zero the sight according to the operating instructions.

Reticle Not Visible or Dim

Check the battery level. Replace the CR123A battery if it is low. Adjust the reticle brightness settings to a higher level, especially in bright ambient light. Ensure the sight is powered on.
