2. Setup Guide

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Physical Installation

1. Attach the phone stand to the base of the phone unit.
2. Connect the handset cord to the handset and the designated port on the phone unit.
3. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and the other end to a network switch or router that supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). If PoE is not available, a 12V power adapter (not included) is required.
4. Connect your computer to the PC port on the phone (optional, for network pass-through).

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Call Functions

• Making a Call: Pick up the handset or press the Speaker button, then dial the number and press the Dial/Send button.
• Answering a Call: Pick up the handset or press the Speaker button when the phone rings.
• Ending a Call: Hang up the handset or press the Speaker button again.
• Mute: Press the Mute button to mute your microphone during a call. Press again to unmute.
• Volume Control: Use the volume buttons to adjust the handset, headset, or speaker volume during a call.

3.2 Advanced Features

• Line Keys: The P310 supports 2 line appearance keys, allowing you to manage multiple calls simultaneously.
• Display Navigation: Use the navigation cluster (up, down, left, right, OK) to browse menus and select options on the 2.4-inch color display.
• Headset Use: Connect a compatible RJ9 headset to the headset port for hands-free communication. The phone supports EHS (Electronic Hook Switch) for certain headsets.

• Clean the phone regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

• No Power/Display Off: Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to a PoE-enabled port or that the 12V power adapter (if used) is properly connected and plugged into a working outlet.
• No Dial Tone: Check network connectivity. Verify that the phone is registered with your SIP server. Restart the phone by unplugging and re-plugging the Ethernet cable/power adapter.
• Poor Call Quality: Check your network connection for stability and bandwidth. Ensure no other devices are consuming excessive network resources.
• Buttons Unresponsive: Restart the phone. If the issue persists, contact technical support.
