4.1 Controls and Display

5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Unit
The RCR2260DAB/GR can be powered by either AC mains or batteries.
AC Power:
- Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC IN socket on the rear of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the cable into a standard wall outlet.
Battery Power:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 6 x UM-2 (C size) batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Antenna Adjustment
For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully and adjust its position. For DAB+ reception, the antenna should generally be vertical. For FM, experiment with different angles for the best signal.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Radio Operation (DAB+ / FM)

- Press the FUNC. button repeatedly until 'DAB' or 'FM' appears on the display.
- For DAB+ Radio: The unit will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations upon first use. Use the TUN. +/- buttons to navigate through the station list. Press MENU/INFO to view station information.
- For FM Radio: Use the TUN. +/- buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency. Press and hold TUN. +/- for automatic station search.
- Adjust the volume using the VOL +/- buttons.
6.2 CD Playback

- Press the FUNC. button until 'CD' appears on the display.
- Open the CD compartment cover.
- Place a CD (CD, CD-R, or CD-RW) with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment cover. The unit will read the disc and begin playback automatically.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP/EJECT, and TUN. +/- (for track navigation) buttons to control playback.
- To program tracks: During stop mode, press PROG./M./P-MODE, select a track with TUN. +/-, press PROG./M./P-MODE again to confirm. Repeat for up to 20 tracks. Press PLAY to start programmed playback.
6.3 Cassette Playback

- Press the FUNC. button until 'TAPE' appears on the display.
- Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette compartment.
- Insert a cassette tape with the open side facing up and the tape side facing the unit.
- Close the cassette compartment.
- Press the PLAY button to start playback.
- Use the PAUSE, STOP/EJECT, F.FWD (Fast Forward), and REW (Rewind) buttons to control playback. The cassette player features auto-stop at the end of the tape.
6.4 USB Playback (MP3)
- Press the FUNC. button until 'USB' appears on the display.
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
- The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and TUN. +/- (for track navigation) buttons to control playback.
- The SELECT 10/FOLD.M. buttons can be used to navigate between folders or skip 10 tracks at a time.
6.5 AUX Input

- Press the FUNC. button until 'AUX' appears on the display.
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, MP3 player) to the AUX IN port on the rear of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Start playback on your external device.
- Adjust the volume using the VOL +/- buttons on the stereo system and/or your external device.
6.6 Headphone Use
To listen privately, connect 3.5mm headphones (not included) to the HEADPHONE OUT port on the rear of the unit. The internal speakers will automatically mute.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Lens Care: If CD playback issues occur, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner.
- Cassette Head Cleaning: Periodically clean the cassette heads with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to ensure optimal sound quality.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the unit in a cool, dry place.
