Setup

Mounting the Shock

Setting Air Pressure (EVOL Air Spring)

  1. Attach a high-pressure shock pump to the air valve.
  2. Inflate the shock to the recommended PSI.
  3. Cycle the shock through its travel several times to equalize positive and negative air chambers.
  4. Recheck the pressure and adjust as necessary.

Adjusting Sag

Sag is the amount the suspension compresses under the rider's weight. Proper sag is crucial for suspension performance. Aim for 25-30% sag for trail riding, or as recommended by your bike manufacturer.

  1. With the shock fully extended, slide the rubber O-ring against the air can seal.
  2. Carefully mount your bike in riding gear, assuming your normal riding position.
  3. Dismount carefully without bouncing the suspension.
  4. Measure the distance the O-ring moved from the air can seal. This is your sag.
  5. Adjust air pressure to achieve the desired sag. Increase pressure to reduce sag, decrease pressure to increase sag.

Rebound Adjustment

  1. Turn the rebound dial fully clockwise (towards "Slow") until it stops.

  3. Test the setting by compressing the suspension and observing its return speed. Adjust as needed for a controlled, smooth return.
