Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your YUNLIGHTS Bug Zapper, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Device not turning on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect the device to a USB power source and allow it to charge for several hours.
- If using AAA batteries, check if they are inserted correctly with the correct polarity and if they are fresh.
- Zapping function not working:
- Ensure the device is in zapper mode (UV light is on).
- Clean the electric grid using the provided brush to remove any accumulated debris or insect remains that might be obstructing the current.
- Verify the device is fully charged. Low battery can affect zapping power.
- Light modes not working:
- Ensure the device is charged.
- Cycle through the light modes by pressing the button multiple times to ensure you are not in the off state or a different mode.
- Reduced effectiveness:
- Ensure the device is placed in a dark area, as competing light sources can reduce the attraction of insects to the UV light.
- Clean the grid regularly to maintain optimal performance.
