Setup
- Attach the Tuner: Gently open the clip and attach the tuner securely to the headstock of your instrument. Ensure the display faces you for easy viewing. The clip is designed to hold firmly without damaging the instrument's finish.

Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the single power button located on the tuner to turn it on or off. The back-lit LCD display will illuminate when powered on.
- Select Tuning Mode: Briefly press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the available tuning modes: Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B), Violin (V), and Ukulele (U). Select the mode appropriate for your instrument.
- Tuning Your Instrument:
- Pluck a single string on your instrument. The tuner will detect the note and display it on the LCD screen.
- The display will show the note name and a meter indicating whether the string is flat, sharp, or in tune.
- Adjust the tuning peg of the string until the meter is centered and the display indicates the correct note in green. If the note is flat, tighten the string; if it's sharp, loosen it.
- Repeat this process for all strings until your instrument is accurately tuned.
Battery Installation/Replacement
The Taylor Digital Clip Tuner uses one CR2 battery, which is included with your purchase. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the tuner.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert the CR2 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Troubleshooting
- Tuner not turning on: Ensure the CR2 battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
- Inaccurate tuning: Make sure the tuner is securely clipped to the instrument's headstock. Pluck strings clearly and individually to avoid interference. Check that the correct tuning mode is selected for your instrument.
- Display not visible: The LCD is back-lit. If it's dim, the battery may be low. Replace the battery.
