To use the docking station for reading and writing data to your M.2 NVMe SSDs via a computer:
- Ensure SSDs are inserted and power is connected as per the Setup Guide.
- Set the mode switch on the docking station to "PM" (Partition Management) mode. This allows your computer to recognize the inserted drives.
- Connect the docking station to your computer using the appropriate USB cable.
- The drives will appear as external storage devices on your computer. You can now access, transfer, and manage files.

4.2. Offline Clone Functionality
The MAIWO K3015P supports offline cloning, allowing you to duplicate data from a source SSD to a target SSD without connecting to a computer. Important: The capacity of the target disk must be larger than or equivalent to that of the source disk.
- Insert Drives: Insert the source M.2 NVMe SSD into the "Source" slot and the target M.2 NVMe SSD into the "Target" slot.
- Connect Power: Ensure the power adapter is connected to the docking station and a power outlet.
- Set Mode to Clone: Slide the mode switch on the docking station to the "Clone" position.
- Initiate Clone: Press and hold the "Clone" button for approximately 5 seconds until the progress indicator lights begin to flicker.
- Monitor Progress: The progress indicator LEDs (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will flicker to show the cloning progress. All lights will remain solid when the cloning process is complete.
- Power Off: Once cloning is complete, turn off the power switch before removing the SSDs.

4.3. Initializing a New Disk (Windows)
If you are using a brand new M.2 NVMe SSD, it may need to be initialized and formatted before it can be used. This process is typically done via your computer's Disk Management utility.
- Connect the docking station with the new SSD inserted to your Windows PC in PM mode.
- Right-click on "This PC" (or "My Computer") and select "Manage".
- In the Computer Management window, navigate to "Disk Management" under "Storage".
- You will likely see a prompt to "Initialize Disk". Select the new disk (it will usually be marked as "Unknown" or "Not Initialized").
- Choose the appropriate partition style:
- MBR (Master Boot Record): For disks smaller than 2TB or for compatibility with older Windows XP systems.
- GPT (GUID Partition Table): Recommended for disks larger than 2TB and modern Windows operating systems.
- After initialization, the disk will show as "Unallocated Space". Right-click on this space and select "New Simple Volume".
- Follow the New Simple Volume Wizard to assign a drive letter and format the disk (NTFS is recommended for Windows).
- Once formatted, your new disk will be ready for use.
4.4. Connecting to a Smartphone (OTG)
The docking station can be connected to compatible smartphones for direct file access. Note: Your phone must support OTG (On-The-Go) functionality.
- Ensure the docking station is in "PM" mode. If it was in "Clone" mode, turn off the power switch, change the mode to "PM", and then turn the power back on.
- Connect the docking station to your smartphone using a compatible USB-C cable (or an adapter if needed).
- Ensure the docking station is connected to its power adapter for stable operation.
- Access the files on the SSD through your phone's file manager application.
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MAIWO K3015P docking station:
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Do not touch the SSDs during operation, as high-speed NVMe M.2 drives can generate significant heat. The device is designed with efficient heat dissipation to protect the hard disk and extend its lifetime.
- Ensure the device is placed on a stable surface, utilizing the non-slip silicone pad for added stability.
- Always safely eject or unmount the drives from your computer or phone before disconnecting the docking station or powering it off to prevent data corruption.
