Setup

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Remove any protective film or stickers.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the cooking pot, Cook & Crisp Basket, and Deluxe Reversible Rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the main unit on a clean, dry, level surface away from the edge of the countertop. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation.

SmartLid Slider

Maintenance and Care

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Ninja Foodi Smart XL.

• Cleaning the Cooking Pot and Accessories: The 8-quart cooking pot and 5-quart Cook & Crisp Basket are ceramic-coated, nonstick, PTFE/PFOA free, and dishwasher safe. For best results, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
• Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
• Lid Cleaning: The underside of the SmartLid, including the heating element, should be wiped clean with a damp cloth after each use. Ensure all food residue is removed.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Ninja Foodi Smart XL, try the following solutions:

• Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Check if the outlet is functioning correctly.
• Lid Not Closing/Locking: Make sure the SmartLid Slider is in the correct position for the desired function. Check for any obstructions preventing the lid from closing properly.
• Food Sticking to Pot: Ensure the cooking pot is properly greased or oiled before adding ingredients, especially for baking.
• Unit Shuts Off Unexpectedly: This can occur if the unit detects insufficient liquid during pressure cooking or slow cooking. Ensure adequate liquid is added according to recipe instructions.
