1. Introduction

4.1 Components

• Eyepiece: For viewing the thermal image.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

1. Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the device's Type-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not supplied) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge provides up to 7.5 hours of continuous use.

5.2 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for a few seconds until the display turns on.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) until the device powers down.
• Standby Mode: Briefly press the Power button (⏻) to enter or exit standby mode.

6. Operating the Monocular

6.1 Basic Observation

Once powered on, look through the eyepiece. The thermal image will be displayed. Adjust the focus ring (if present) for a clear image.

6.2 Palettes

The device supports various thermal palettes. Press the Mode button to cycle through them:

• Warm Black: Hot objects appear black.
• Warm White: Hot objects appear white.
• Warm Red: Hot objects appear red.
• Fusion: Displays a gradient of colors based on temperature.

6.3 Digital Zoom

Press the Zoom button to cycle through digital zoom levels: 1×, 2×, 4×, and 8×.

6.4 Image Capture and Video Recording

• Capture Photo: Briefly press the Capture button to take a still image.
• Record Video: Press and hold the Capture button to start recording video. Press again to stop.
• All captured photos and videos are stored in the built-in 8GB memory module.

6.5 Wi-Fi Access Point

The monocular features a Wi-Fi access point for connecting to a smartphone or tablet. This allows for remote control, live view, and file management via the dedicated HIKMICRO app.

1. Enable Wi-Fi access point mode on the device (refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific button sequence).
2. Connect your smartphone/tablet to the device's Wi-Fi network.
3. Open the HIKMICRO app to access features.
