6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KALOGL Wireless WiFi Video Doorbell, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1 Device Not Connecting to Wi-Fi

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The doorbell does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Verify that your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the app.
  • Check the distance between the doorbell and your Wi-Fi router. A strong signal is required for stable connection.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and the doorbell unit.

6.2 No Push Notifications

  • Check your smartphone's notification settings to ensure the doorbell app has permission to send notifications.
  • Verify that the doorbell is connected to Wi-Fi and online in the app.
  • Ensure the app is running in the background or allowed to run in the background by your phone's operating system.

6.3 Poor Video Quality or Lag

  • A weak Wi-Fi signal can cause video lag. Try moving your Wi-Fi router closer or installing a Wi-Fi extender.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view.
  • Check your internet connection speed.

6.4 Battery Drains Quickly

  • Frequent doorbell presses or live view access can consume battery faster.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
  • Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance.

6.5 Doorbell Not Saving Videos to Cloud

  • The KALOGL Wireless WiFi Video Doorbell is designed to save 5 photos to the cloud when the doorbell is pressed, not videos. This is a design feature, not a malfunction.
