4. Setup Instructions
- Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location for the timer outlet that is protected from direct heavy rain and where the photocell sensor (located on the top of the unit) will receive natural light. Avoid areas where artificial light sources (e.g., porch lights, streetlights) might interfere with the photocell's operation.
- Plug in the Timer: Plug the BLACK+DECKER Wireless Outdoor Timer Outlet into a grounded 3-prong outdoor electrical receptacle.
- Connect Devices: Plug your outdoor lights or appliances into the two grounded outlets on the bottom of the timer unit. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed 1875W.
- Remote Control: The remote control is pre-programmed to work with the timer outlet. No pairing is typically required. The remote uses a battery (usually included and pre-installed). If the remote does not respond, check or replace the battery.

5. Operating Instructions
The timer outlet offers multiple operating modes controlled by the rotary dial and the wireless remote.
5.1. Using the Rotary Dial
Rotate the dial on the timer unit to select the desired operating mode:
- ON: The connected devices will remain continuously ON.
- OFF: The connected devices will remain continuously OFF.
- 2Hrs / 4Hrs / 6Hrs / 8Hrs (Countdown Timer): The connected devices will turn ON at dusk (detected by the photocell sensor) and remain ON for the selected duration (2, 4, 6, or 8 hours), then turn OFF.
- DUSK-DAWN: The connected devices will turn ON automatically when it gets dark and turn OFF automatically when it gets light. This mode utilizes the integrated photocell sensor.

5.2. Using the Wireless Remote Control
The wireless remote control provides manual override functionality and can operate the timer outlet from up to 100 feet away.
- ON Button: Press the "ON" button to manually turn ON the connected devices. This will override any current timer setting and keep the devices ON.
- OFF Button: Press the "OFF" button to manually turn OFF the connected devices. This will override any current timer setting and keep the devices OFF.
- Returning to Timer Mode: After using the remote to manually turn ON or OFF, the timer will remain in that state until you manually change it again with the remote or adjust the rotary dial. To resume the selected timer mode (e.g., Dusk-Dawn, 4Hrs), you must rotate the dial to the desired setting.
