1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup and First Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Wash the interchangeable plates with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
3. Installing Plates:

   Select the desired plates (e.g., square sandwich plates). Align the plates with the hinges and press down gently until they click into place. Ensure both upper and lower plates are securely installed.

Always ensure the correct plates are installed and locked before operation.

General Operation:

1. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate, indicating the appliance is powered on and heating.
2. Allow the appliance to preheat. The green indicator light will illuminate when the desired temperature is reached, indicating the appliance is ready for use.
3. Lightly grease the non-stick plates with a small amount of cooking oil or butter, if desired, especially for the first few uses or for specific recipes.
4. Place your food (sandwiches, waffle batter, grill items) onto the lower plate.
5. Close the lid and gently press down the handle until the safety lock engages.
6. Cook for the recommended time (refer to specific food instructions below). The green light may cycle on and off during cooking as the thermostat maintains temperature.
7. Once cooking is complete, open the lid using the cool-touch handle. Carefully remove the food using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.

Using Sandwich Plates (Square & Triangle):

Ideal for preparing toasted sandwiches. The SV3070 accommodates larger bread slices (14 x 13 cm).

• Install either the square or triangle sandwich plates.
• Preheat the appliance until the green light indicates it's ready.
• Place your bread with filling onto the lower plate. For triangle plates, position the bread to align with the diagonal dividers.
• Close and lock the lid. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sandwich is golden brown and the filling is heated through.

Using Waffle Plates:

For delicious homemade waffles.

• Install the waffle plates.
• Preheat the appliance until the green light indicates it's ready.
• Pour approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup of waffle batter onto the center of the lower plate. Do not overfill.
• Close and lock the lid. Cook for 4-7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary based on batter consistency and desired crispness.

Using Grill Plates:

Perfect for grilling vegetables, panini, or small cuts of meat.

• Install the grill plates.
• Preheat the appliance until the green light indicates it's ready.
• Place your food onto the lower grill plate.
• Close and lock the lid. Cook for the desired time, checking periodically for doneness. Cooking times will vary depending on the type and thickness of the food.

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your appliance.

3. Cleaning Plates:
