Setup Guide
- Connect the Keyboard: Locate one of the two USB-C ports on the keyboard. Connect the provided braided USB-C cable to the keyboard and then to an available USB port on your computer (PC or Mac).
- Driver Installation (Optional): The keyboard is plug-and-play for basic functionality. RGB Lighting Control

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keyboard surface. For dust between keycaps, use compressed air.
- Deep Cleaning: For thorough cleaning, you can remove the keycaps using the provided keycap puller. Clean the keycaps with a mild soap solution and allow them to dry completely before reattaching. Clean the keyboard plate with a soft brush or compressed air.
Hot-Swappable Switches
The R3N AC61M features hot-swappable Gateron Optical switches, allowing you to change switches without soldering. This is useful for customizing typing feel or replacing a faulty switch.
- Remove Keycap: Use the keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
- Remove Switch: Use the switch removal tool to carefully grip and pull out the optical switch.
- Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new Gateron Optical switch with the sockets on the PCB. Press firmly until the switch clicks into place. Ensure it is seated correctly to avoid bent pins.
- Replace Keycap: Place the keycap back onto the new switch.

Note: Only Gateron Optical switches are compatible with this keyboard. Standard mechanical switches (3-pin or 5-pin) are not compatible.
