- Power Off When Not in Use: Turn off the monitor when not in use for extended periods to conserve energy and prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GIGABYTE M28U monitor, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Display/Power: Ensure all power cables are securely connected to the monitor and a working power outlet. Check if the power indicator light is on. Try a different power outlet.
- No Signal: Verify that the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C) is correctly connected to both the monitor and your source device (PC, console). Ensure the correct input source is selected in the OSD menu.
- Image Quality Issues (Blurry, Distorted, Incorrect Colors): Check the display resolution and refresh rate settings on your source device to ensure they match the monitor's native resolution (3840x2160) and desired refresh rate (up to 144Hz). Adjust settings in the OSD menu or OSD Sidekick software.
- Flickering/Black Screens: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Try a different video cable. If using HDMI 2.1 with a PS5, be aware of potential compatibility nuances with DSC 1.2a.
- Dead Pixels: While rare, a small number of non-functioning pixels may be inherent to LCD technology. Refer to GIGABYTE's pixel policy for warranty information.
- Firmware Update: GIGABYTE may release firmware updates to improve performance or fix issues. Check the official GIGABYTE website for the latest firmware and instructions on how to update using the OSD Sidekick software.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, please contact GIGABYTE customer support.
