Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance.
2. Safety Instructions
- This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, rain, or high humidity.
- Do not immerse the sensor lid in water or any other liquid. Clean with a damp cloth only.
- Keep the sensor area clear of obstructions to ensure proper function.
- Use only the specified battery type (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Remove batteries if the bin will not be used for an extended period.
- Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
- Do not force the lid open or closed manually when the sensor is active, as this may damage the mechanism.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the sensor lid.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the required batteries (e.g., 4 x AA batteries, not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2 Inserting the Trash Bag
- Remove the sensor lid from the bin body.
- Place the trash bag into the bin body.
- Fit the inner retaining ring over the top edge of the trash bag, securing the bag in place. Ensure the bag edges are neatly tucked under the ring.
- Place the sensor lid back onto the bin body, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Automatic Sensor Operation
The Homra Fonix bin features a motion sensor for hands-free operation.
- Ensure batteries are installed and the bin is powered on (if there's a power switch, typically on the back of the lid).
- When an object (e.g., your hand or waste) approaches the sensor area (usually at the front of the lid) within 15-20 cm, the lid will automatically open.
- The lid will remain open for a few seconds (typically 5-7 seconds) to allow for waste disposal.
- After the object moves away or the set time elapses, the lid will automatically close.

5.2 Manual Operation (if applicable)
Some models may include manual open/close buttons on the lid for extended opening or specific situations.
- Look for 'OPEN' and 'CLOSE' buttons on the sensor panel.
- Press the 'OPEN' button to keep the lid open indefinitely.
- Press the 'CLOSE' button to close the lid when it is manually opened, or to override the sensor and close it sooner.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent if necessary. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Lid and Sensor: Gently wipe the sensor lid and sensor window with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use excessive water or cleaning sprays directly on the sensor.
- Interior: If the interior of the bin becomes dirty, remove the trash bag and wipe the inside with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse and dry completely before reinserting a new trash bag.

6.2 Battery Replacement
When the lid operation becomes slow or inconsistent, it is time to replace the batteries. Refer to section 4.1 for battery installation instructions.
7. Troubleshooting
