5. Setup

5.1. Battery Charging and Installation

1. Connect the fast charger to a power outlet.
2. Insert the 20V 1.5Ah lithium-ion battery into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
3. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
4. Align the charged battery with the battery slot on the saw handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
5. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

5.2. Blade Installation/Replacement

Always disconnect the battery before installing or replacing the blade.

1. Press and hold the spindle lock button.
2. Use the included Allen wrench to loosen the blade bolt.
3. Remove the outer flange and the old blade.
4. Place the new 5-1/2 inch blade onto the spindle, ensuring the teeth direction matches the arrow on the saw guard.
5. Reinstall the outer flange and tighten the blade bolt securely with the Allen wrench while holding the spindle lock button.

6. Operation

6.1. Adjusting Cutting Depth

1. Loosen the depth clamp button.
2. Adjust the base plate to the desired cutting depth. Ensure the blade extends slightly below the material being cut.
3. Tighten the depth clamp button firmly.

6.2. Adjusting Bevel Angle

1. Loosen the adjustable bevel lever.
2. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle (0-45°).
3. Tighten the adjustable bevel lever securely.

6.3. Making a Cut

1. Ensure the material is securely clamped.
2. Hold the saw firmly with both hands.
3. Press the safety lock-off button and then squeeze the trigger to start the saw.
4. Allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the material.
5. Guide the saw smoothly along the cutting line, applying steady, even pressure. Do not force the saw.
6. Release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before setting the saw down.
