1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Defiant 150 Lumens Focusing LED Headlamp. This lightweight and durable headlamp is designed for hands-free illumination, making it ideal for outdoor activities, work, or emergencies. It features an adjustable elastic head strap and a focusing beam that can be adjusted from spot to flood.

2. Safety Information

• Do not look directly into the LED light. The intense light can cause temporary vision impairment or eye damage.
• Keep batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries (e.g., alkaline and rechargeable).
• Remove batteries if the headlamp will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Dispose of batteries properly according to local regulations.
• This product is not water resistant. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.

4. Product Overview

The Defiant LED Headlamp consists of a main light unit, an adjustable elastic head strap, and a battery compartment.

Key Components:

• LED Light Unit: Contains the LED emitter and focusing lens.
• Power Button: Located on top of the light unit, used for turning on/off and cycling modes.
• Adjustable Head Strap: Elastic strap for comfortable and secure fit.
• Battery Compartment: Located at the back of the headlamp unit.
• Aluminum Head: The front part of the light unit, which twists for focus adjustment.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the headlamp unit.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert three (3) AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Adjusting the Head Strap

The elastic head strap is adjustable to fit various head sizes. Pull the strap through the buckles on either side of the headlamp unit to achieve a comfortable and secure fit.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

• To Turn On: Press the power button once. The headlamp will turn on in High mode.
• To Cycle Modes: While the headlamp is on, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes: High → Low → Flashing.
• To Turn Off: After cycling through all modes, press the power button one more time, or press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds from any mode.

6.2 Adjusting the Focus

The Defiant headlamp features an adjustable focusing beam. To change the beam from a spot to a flood light:

• Gently twist the aluminum head (front part of the light unit) clockwise or counter-clockwise.
• Twisting in one direction will narrow the beam to a focused spot, while twisting in the other direction will widen it to a broad floodlight.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Replacement: Replace all three AAA batteries when the light becomes dim or stops functioning. Always replace with new, fresh alkaline batteries.
• Storage: Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent corrosion.
