General Operation Steps:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place your ingredients and liquids into the inner pot. Ensure the total volume does not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Close Lid: Place the lid on the Quickpot and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the steam release valve is in the "Sealing" position for pressure cooking.
  3. Select Function: Press the desired preset function button (e.g., "Pressure Cook", "Slow Cook", "Rice"). The display will show the default cooking time.
  4. Adjust Settings (Optional): Use the "Temp/Timer" button and the "+/-" buttons to adjust the cooking time or temperature if needed.
  5. Start Cooking: The Quickpot will automatically begin the preheating process. Once pressure is built (for pressure cooking), the cooking timer will start counting down.
  6. Pressure Release (for Pressure Cooking):
    • Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This is recommended for foamy foods or large cuts of meat.
    • Quick Release: Carefully turn the steam release valve to the "Venting" position. Caution: Hot steam will be released. Keep hands and face away from the valve.
  7. Open Lid: Once pressure is fully released (float valve drops down), turn the lid counter-clockwise and lift it off.
