4. Operating Your Electric Bike
The VITILAN i7 Pro offers multiple riding modes for versatile use.
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display unit.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again.
4.2 Display Unit and Controls
The integrated display provides information such as speed, battery level, pedal assist level, and trip distance. Use the control buttons next to the display to navigate menus and adjust settings.
4.3 Riding Modes
- Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): The BAFANG 750W motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to select different levels of pedal assistance (e.g., 1-5). Higher levels provide more motor power.
- Throttle Mode: Engage the throttle (typically on the left side) to propel the bike without pedaling. The throttle provides full power directly from the motor.
- Manual Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without any motor assistance.
4.4 Gear Shifting (Shimano 8-Speed)
Your bike is equipped with a Shimano 8-speed gear system. Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to a lower gear for easier pedaling on inclines and a higher gear for faster speeds on flat terrain.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VITILAN i7 Pro Electric Bike.
5.1 Cleaning
- Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
- Wipe down the frame, wheels, and components.
5.2 Lubrication
- Lubricate the chain regularly, especially after riding in wet conditions.
- Apply a small amount of bicycle-specific lubricant to pivot points on the derailleur and brake levers.
5.3 Brakes (Hydraulic Disc Brakes)
- Check brake pads for wear periodically and replace them when necessary.
- Ensure brake levers feel firm and responsive. If they feel spongy, the hydraulic system may need bleeding by a qualified technician.
- Keep brake rotors clean and free of oil or grease.
5.4 Tires and Wheels
- Inspect fat tires for cuts, punctures, or excessive wear.
- Maintain recommended tire pressure for optimal performance and safety.
- Check wheel spokes for tension and true the wheels if necessary.
5.5 Battery Care
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery. Charge it regularly, even if the bike is not used frequently.
- Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
5.6 Suspension System
The i7 Pro features a dual suspension system. Keep suspension components clean and inspect for any leaks or damage. Consult a bike mechanic for complex suspension maintenance.
