1. Product Overview

The ATOTO AC-AHV68 is a USB to HDMI video out adaptor designed to connect devices with an HDMI output port to compatible ATOTO Android car stereos via a USB-A end. This adaptor allows you to display content from external HDMI sources, such as gaming consoles or TV boxes, directly on your ATOTO head unit's screen.

2. Compatibility

This adaptor is specifically designed for use with ATOTO Android devices. It is compatible with the following series:

  • ATOTO P9 Series
  • ATOTO A6 PF Series
  • ATOTO A6 PP Series
  • ATOTO S8 Gen2 Series

Important Note:

  • The AC-AHV68 is NOT compatible with ATOTO S8 Gen1, F7, SA102, A6 KL, A6 Y, or any other brand's car stereo models.
  • It only works with HDMI 1.4b or older devices.
  • Ensure your head unit has the "HDMI-IN" app installed. If not, you can download the APK file from the ATOTO resource site onto a USB drive and install it.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up and install your ATOTO AC-AHV68 adaptor:

  1. Check for "HDMI-IN" App: Before using the adaptor, verify that the "HDMI-IN" app is installed on your ATOTO head unit. You can usually find this app among your installed applications.
  2. Install "HDMI-IN" App (if needed): If the "HDMI-IN" app is not installed, download the APK file for the app from the official ATOTO resource site onto a USB drive. Insert the USB drive into your head unit, navigate to the file using the file manager, and open the APK file to start the installation. Alternatively, you can download and install the "HDMI-IN" app directly from "FindApps" on your head unit.
  3. Connect HDMI Source: Connect the HDMI end of your external device (e.g., gamepad, TV box, Nintendo Switch) to the HDMI input port of the AC-AHV68 adaptor.
  4. Connect to Head Unit: Insert the USB-A end of the AC-AHV68 adaptor into the designated "External Storage" USB port of your ATOTO Android car stereo. Connecting to an incorrect USB port may result in no signal.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the adaptor is connected and the "HDMI-IN" app is ready, you can start using your external HDMI devices:

  1. Launch "HDMI-IN" App: On your ATOTO head unit, open the "HDMI-IN" application.
  2. Display Content: The content from your connected HDMI device should now be displayed on your car stereo screen.
  3. Enjoy Entertainment: You can enjoy your favorite movies and shows from TV boxes, or play games from consoles like Nintendo Switch, adding entertainment to your trips.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ATOTO AC-AHV68 adaptor, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

Issue 1: Screen flickering and unstable image.

  • Solution 1: Ensure the HDMI cable and USB port are securely connected.
  • Solution 2: Inspect the HDMI cable for damage (scratches, tears, twists); consider trying a different cable.
  • Solution 3: Verify video format compatibility with your car stereo; lower the resolution if needed.

Issue 2: No signal on the screen.

  • Solution 1: Verify that the ATOTO AC-AHV68 adaptor is correctly matched with compatible car stereo models (ATOTO S8 Gen2, A6 PF, A6 PP series). It is not compatible with ATOTO S8 Gen 1, F7, SA102, A6 KL, A6 Y, etc., and any other brand's car stereo models.
  • Solution 2: Ensure the adaptor is connected to the car stereo's designated USB port for External Storage. If the wrong USB port is connected, the signal will be lost.

Issue 3: Screen freezing and cannot play normally.

  • Solution 1: Verify video format compatibility with your car stereo; lower the resolution if needed.
  • Solution 2: Close unused apps on the car stereo, clear connections, cache, and restart your phone before reconnecting to watch.
